Decorah Covenant Church (DCC) believes that camp experiences are important part of the spiritual formation of our children and families. Camp experiences are transformative in helping us understand what it means to follow Christ and to grow as a disciple.
Where is our camp?
Our church camp is Twin Lakes Bible Camp near Manson, Iowa. Twin Lakes offers camp opportunities for all ages, including family camp weekends.
How to register for camp
DCC would like to encourage everyone to register for camp before the April 1st deadline. After the deadline, the cost increases. See the Twin Lakes website for fees and camp dates. Members and regular attenders at DCC should request the discount code from the DCC office when ready to register. You will use this code when you register for a camp on the Twin Lakes website. Upon registration you will pay a deposit, and the remaining balance will be due when you arrive at Twin Lakes for camp.
How to pay for camp
Regular DCC camp scholarships cover 50% per student of the cost of one camp experience at Twin Lakes or 50% of the cost per family for one family camp. DCC members (and children) and regular attenders are eligible to receive these funds. Any family with need may apply for additional funds to cover all or part of the remaining camp costs. Twin Lakes also offers scholarships to those with financial need. The Christian Education Committee encourages participation in camp experiences and seeks to ensure that finances are not an obstacle.
