At DCC we believe our children are not just the future of the church—they ARE the church! So we want to give them opportunities to learn, grow, and serve right alongside the rest of us.
Available for children 0-3 years old during our 9am Sunday morning worship service.
Children’s Worship is for 3 to 8 year olds and is held during Sunday morning worship services each week during the school year. Children are invited to go downstairs for Children’s Worship partway through the service. This ministry features storytelling, play, and worship utilizing simple wooden characters.
For children who remain in the sanctuary during worship, children’s bulletins, activity bags, and coloring supplies are available on a table at the back of the sanctuary. Worship leaders and preachers are mindful of the presence of children, and encourage them to make a joyful noise, sing, dance, listen, draw, read and respond to the goodness of God and the good news of Jesus along with everyone else.
Classes for all ages take place each week, beginning after Labor Day and running through mid-May. Sunday School takes a break during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and over the summer break.
