This Sunday at DCC

Sermon Series "Our Calling"

We are in a five week series on one of the most important chapters in Paul's letters: Ephesians 4. Having celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus, we are seeking to unpack and apply what the freed and forgiven new life in Jesus looks like, especially in this thing called "church."  In Ephesians 4:1 Paul begs his readers to "live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called." That Calling has to do with defining identity, deploying gifts, pursuing maturity and how we do all those things together. It is the call to put away old sinful practices and to be renewed in the spirit. We're including preachers other than Pastor Julie and Pastor Don in this series. "Our Calling"  also crosses paths with college students, many of whom are getting ready for a summer of ministry, and/or a lifetime of pursuing God's desire for their lives. We also think that this is a great way to cultivate our prayers and preparation for the important meeting on May 2 where we hope that our calling will shape DCC values and mission.
