Interim Pastor Dick Nystrom
DCC is very pleased to welcome Pastor Dick Nystrom. He is in the office much of the time between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. Feel free to stop in and meet him.

Dick and his wife, Pam, moved to Decorah mid-October 2008 and have settled nicely into our community. Dick has lifelong roots in the Covenant Church. He has served churches in Omaha, Stockholm (Sweden) and Madison, WI. After 11 years at Arbor Covenant in Madison, Dick and Pam volunteered for the Peace Corps. They worked for two years in Lesotho, Africa then returned to the US where Dick served 18 months as interim pastor in Bowie, MD. Dick and Pam have just returned from another year in Lesotho, where they worked again at Maluti Hospital.

We are grateful for Dick and Pam’s extensive and varied experience in the church and in ministry around the world, and are eager to welcome them into our community, believing that God’s call and provision have led them to us at this time.

Julie Chamberlain, Worship Leader
Julie has been serving on staff as the worship leader at DCC for over a year, though she has been a key part of DCC’s worship team for over four years. She is a valuable addition to our team. As a talented musician and a graduate of Luther College, she brings a multitude of musical experience and expertise. It also doesn’t hurt that she grew up in an Evangelical Covenant Church! Julie and her husband Brad (who is a Chemistry professor at Luther) have two sons.

Donalee Burns, Administrative Assistant
Donalee has been attending Decorah Covenant since early 2000; one of the few natives of Decorah in the congregation. She is a graduate of Luther in Theatre Arts. Spending the last 30 plus years involved in the local community theatre has given her the experience she needed; most prominently - “creating” the job of secretary and multitasking. She has been in this position since April 2007.
