Our “Stepping Out in Faith” Campaign
In November 2005 Decorah Covenant Church stepped out in faith with what we felt was an ambitious $100,000 goal for a one-year campaign to raise funds for the purchase of land or an existing building within Decorah for a 24/7 ministry facility.
On November 19th, 2006, our congregation celebrated the conclusion of this Stepping Out in Faith campaign; it was a remarkable day of praise and thanksgiving for God’s provision as well as an intentional time of prayer focused on asking God to guide and use our congregation for His glory in the future.
As a church, we are truly humbled, blessed and awed by God’s faithfulness and your generosity. Together we were able to fully meet both a $25,000 challenge grant and an additional $2,500 challenge. The final total raised by the campaign was $127,428.71. These resources will provide us with opportunities to continue to grow in Christ as a church that seeks to be “God’s Word: Alive in Community”.
