Thoughts to ponder: At first glance the real challenge to serving others and serving God wholly with our lives seems to be a matter of will and discipline. But in reality this is not the case. The true challenge to serving God and others with all of our lives is trusting in the goodness of God. Why? Because when we truly serve God and others we give up the right to our own way and we give up the right to have control. And the loss of control opens the possibility for things to go wrong and for things to go in unexpected ways…This is the challenge of true service, and it all comes back to trusting the One whom we ultimately serve.
